New Boots, Raw Heels

Hunted with my State Rep, Mike Miller, and his bro-in-law Jack most of Sunday.  Both are good company and fine people.

All I saw from 6 am until 4 pm was one Chipmunk.  Lots of elk and deer sign, but the timing just didn’t work out.  It’s 1 chance in 3 anyway.

Wore nearly new boots by Ariat that took the backs of both heels off.  Will be a week before I can try hunting again.  I miss my old Browning boots — best ever, but they couldn’t last more than 3-4 seasons.

Next weekend, hope to try Sunny Slope Grazing Assoc. which is 9000+ acres in Block Management and loaded with deer and elk.  That’s region 2, HD 293, just south of Lincoln.
